Update!

Hey everyone!

We understand that many of you out there would love to take part in the Ultimate Frisbee competition during PVSP 2010. However, we really do not have a ready venue for it. The side field will not be available during that period as the LTA construction thingy will be going on there. The central plaza will be used throughout the day for Mid Autumn Festival preparations. Rest assured we are still trying our best to explore every possible avenue to have it for you guys.

For the rest of the sports, registration opens next week! Do look out for further details regarding registration soon. Any queries, feel free to mail them to skk678@gmail.com :)

The obligatory World Cup Final post

So. With four hours to the big game, we're getting excited.

Are you watching the game alone, or with your bros?
Can you remember all the winners of the last five World Cup?
Do you feel sad for Germany (considering you probably can't answer #2 without Google, let alone the poor third prize winners)?
Are you sad/happy that this all ends tonight?

Keep the excitement till four hours later. Let it out. Then get excited for PvsP!!!! We're with you, every exciting moment till then.

world cup semi-finals and reminders

This post is going to be completely irrelevant to PvP... well not entirely, but yeah.

As you all would have known, Uruguay is not progressing to the World Cup finals after being beaten 3-2 by the Netherlands. So, it looks like the whole talk about all SouthAmerican finals and whatnot has been proven wrong with the last term being booted out. The Netherlands are through to the finals, and they'll face either Germany or Spain, depending on which team wins tomorrow morning (I personally want Spain to win. La Furia Roja ftw!).

Let us know your thoughts on the two matches- who you think will win the epic clash? Who will win the finals? and what you think about the Netherlands proceeding to the finals.

In the meanwhile, it's another 6 hours to the Germany v Spain, and this Spain fangirl will be getting ready for the match and cheering her heart out for the Spanish team and.

Any Spanish fans out here?

On another note, this is just a friendly reminder to RSVP at the HCUnite group, where the Facebook event has been moved. This is so that you all can keep up with all the latest news about PvP.

Feel free to ask us anything you want to know about this year's PvP. We promise it'll be good (:

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

Hey guys,

The Facebook Event has been reposted under the HCUnite group, so please do RSVP at the new Event to keep up with PvsP updates. For those who already have- thank you for your support and we hope to see you on the 11th of September! Current students, listen out for morning announcements and watch out EMB posts on PvsP. Spread the word!

Further details, articles and forms will be posted up very soon so please keep checking back! For now, we sure are fixed on the Uruguay v. Netherlands match happening later on. We hear there's a lot riding on Uruguay -the South American lone wolf in this World Cup semi finals- But hold on (to your money) for a sec: If there's one thing this World Cup has taught us, it is that nothing is for sure!

Have a great week!

A Little Shoutout

Hello, you!

So, you've probably heard about this "Past vs. Present" thing. Maybe you played in it last year. The year before that. Or you've been through the enormous task of organising one. Or perhaps, snorted (or are snorting) in disdain at the idea of participating in a sports competition when you didn't even want to attend vile, sweaty, tiresome, humiliating College P.E... Well yeah, we've all been there.

As far as PvsP 2k10 is concerned, it may be (not quite age-old) tradition, and the theme well, a little traditional... but we, the Organising Committee of 2010, promise you, it's going to be a totally awesome way to spend the morning before MAF. So put down your hesitations and listen up!

It's going to be LE-GEN.... wait for it... DARY!

.
.
.

.
.
.
Okay, ouch... We hear you. Now put down that vuvuzela.

Watch this space for more updates on Past vs. Present, such as event details, registration forms, match fixtures, who will be there, what freebies to expect in the goodie bag... the whole deal. Meanwhile, sit back, relax, and catch a little sporting action. Recent events that are worthy of our intention include the Wimbledon, the F1 GP, which are perhaps overshadowed by a *leetle leetle* soccer competition called the World Cup.

Or maybe... you are among the obstinate few protesting against the extorbitant Cable TV rates? (So are we, but if you can't beat 'em, join 'em... and we sure joined 'em) Well then, you can catch your daily fix of all the sporting action around the world on the websites on the Sportsroll we've compiled to the right. The Internet is awesome!

On a last note, people interested in being a part of this event please feel free to leave a message with your contact details on the Message Board on the right, or send an email to pvsp.2k10@gmail.com, or post on our Facebook Event's Wall.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Till next time, amigos!
